The scholarship process
The Foundation is honored to administer scholarship funds that honor family or friends, memorialize loved ones, or ensure donor values are passed from one generation to the next. Each fund has unique eligibility requirements. Many are for the benefit of students graduating from certain high schools; others to students pursuing particular fields of study, or attending a specific university.
CFOV scholarships cover a wide geographic range and seek to support students representing a variety of backgrounds. Counties served by CFOV include: Hancock, Brooke, Ohio, Marshall, Tyler and Wetzel in West Virginia and Jefferson and Belmont in Ohio.

A Note about our process
CFOV Scholarships are for the benefit of graduating high school seniors residing within or attending school in our service area. We utilize an online, universal application process that houses all components of the scholarship lifecycle. Check out the scholarship overview for our currently available opportunities.
Responses offered in the universal application will be matched to opportunities for which the applicant qualifies. Applicants can then choose to complete and submit the opportunity-specific applications by following the instructions. Applicants will complete a larger generic application and then will “fine-tune” specific submissions that have unique names by providing the information requested. This includes things like responses to specific essay prompts or details about experiences.
