Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley Announces 2025 River Valley Health Fund Grant Recipients

POSTED ON

WHEELING, W.Va. – The Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley (CFOV) is proud to announce the recipients of this year’s River Valley Health Fund (RVHF) grants. A total of $123,628 has been awarded to 14 organizations working to strengthen the health and well-being of communities across the Ohio Valley.

The RVHF continues the legacy of the former River Valley Health Foundation, which was established following the sale of Ohio Valley Medical Center and East Ohio Regional Hospital. The fund supports nonprofit organizations in Brooke, Ohio, Marshall, and Wetzel counties in West Virginia, and Belmont, Jefferson, Monroe, Guernsey, and Harrison counties in Ohio. This year’s grants focus on addressing healthcare vulnerabilities, expanding access to resources, and supporting innovative programs that promote long-term community health.

“We are honored to support organizations that are making a real difference in the lives of our neighbors,” said CFOV Executive Director Susie Nelson. “From expanding food access and health screenings to providing critical medical equipment and mental health supports, these projects reflect the wide-ranging health needs of our region. Each grant will help ensure individuals and families throughout the Ohio Valley have access to the care and resources they need to thrive.”
