WHEELING, W.Va. — Meet The Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley’s new Development Associate, Joey Haller. Joey joins CFOV in a brand-new role created as the Foundation continues to expand and grow its impact across the region.
As Development Associate, Joey supports the Foundation’s development efforts and works alongside the team to strengthen relationships, enhance outreach, and help advance CFOV’s mission. Though he’s just a couple of weeks into the role, he’s already diving in, learning how community foundations operate and gaining insight from sitting in on meetings and connecting with the people who make this work possible.
“I’ve really enjoyed learning how community foundations work and getting to know the people involved,” says Joey. “There’s a lot happening behind the scenes to support our communities, and it’s exciting to be part of it.”

Before joining CFOV, Joey built his professional background in sales, where he developed strong communication skills and a results-driven mindset. That experience, combined with his natural energy and enthusiasm to learn, positions him well to support CFOV’s growing development initiatives.

Outside the office, Joey values time spent with family and friends and prioritizes staying active at the gym. He’s also an avid traveler who enjoys exploring new places and experiences. Fun fact: he’s been skydiving and has witnessed the northern lights – two bucket-list adventures that reflect his willingness to embrace new challenges and perspectives.
As he continues settling into his new position, Joey is focused on learning, growing, and contributing to CFOV’s ongoing momentum. His role represents another step forward as the Foundation strengthens its team to better serve donors, nonprofits, and communities throughout the Ohio Valley.
We’re excited to welcome Joey to CFOV and look forward to the energy and support he brings to this newly established position.
